Logan Remmers is a Freshman at the University of Minnesota studying Finance and Risk Management at the Carlson School of Management. Logan works for EcoWash as a Division Manager in the Southwest Twin Cities. He grew up in Shakopee, Minnesota and has a strong entrepreneurial mindset and passion for business. Logan has been a top performer for EcoWash. So far, he has been at the top of the weekly sales leaderboard multiple times and he is currently second in the company for total sales.

What made you choose to work at EcoWash?
I decided to join EcoWash because I wanted to push myself during my freshman year and get some real business experience. I've always liked the idea of running my own thing, and EcoWash seemed like a great chance to take charge of a division and create some cool opportunities for myself and others. Balancing everything — getting leads, working with clients, and managing employees — hasn’t been easy, but I see every challenge as a way to get better. So far, I’ve been able to build up my leadership, time management, and problem-solving skills, and I know all of this will help me out a lot down the road.
What have you enjoyed the most from your internship so far?
This internship is really what you make of it — the more you put in, the more you get out. It has motivated me to work harder and has played a big role in my success so far. If you are busy one week and don’t put in as much work, it will show which really separates who wants it more and who is driven to do well. One thing I really appreciate is the flexibility it offers, especially when balancing my schoolwork. It’s definitely been a grind managing all my responsibilities with EcoWash while keeping up with my classes, but the flexible schedule has allowed me to find different times throughout the day and week to get everything done. I've also connected with a lot of other interns who have a similar mindset. It’s been really helpful to be able to ask them questions and have conversations about our experiences since this is a new challenge for all of us.
What skills have you learned from your internship so far?
The biggest skills I’ve developed so far are time management and communication. Managing over 115 leads, nearly 30 clients, and over $30,000 in revenue has definitely been stressful at times, and it’s forced me to make some real changes in my personal life. I've had to cut back on distractions like phone time and start getting up earlier to stay on top of everything. Communication has also been a huge part of the job, and I’ve seen a lot of improvement. Staying in touch with leads and clients through calls and texts is crucial for setting up estimates and closing sales, and it’s helped me become much more confident and effective when reaching out to people.
What are you looking forward to the most?
I’m really looking forward to networking and building new connections, both with the people I work alongside and with my clients. Being around so many like-minded individuals motivates me to push myself and continue improving. I’m also excited about the company trips planned over the summer. They’ll be a great opportunity to take a break, have some fun, and build stronger relationships with the team outside of work.
Congratulations Logan on being our April Employee of the Month! We are really looking forward to all the success you will have here.
