March Employee of the Month: Jake Lepak

Jake Lepak is a Sophomore at UW-Eau Claire, majoring in Finance and Information Systems, and works for EcoWash in the Wausau division. He grew up in Marathon City, WI, and has ambitions to work in Wealth Management. Jake was the second-highest marketer in the first week of the internship and got 100 leads. He is currently #6 spot company-wide for total sales.

Here is our brief interview with Jake about his experience at EcoWash so far:

What made you choose to work at EcoWash?

The mentorship between my Regional Manager, Liam, who is constantly trying to help me improve, uplift my spirit, and coach me through the process of the business. As well as Andrew, who is always available to talk or help with anything. But mostly overall, the culture of my fellow division managers is always constantly grinding and pushing me to become better.

What have you enjoyed the most from your internship so far?

The connections with people I have made, internally, we are all about the same age, so we all get along great. Externally, with homeowners and clients, I have great conversations with them. A lot of people have wished me good luck and support college kids going out to try to start up a business, and “respect the hustle.”

What skills have you learned from your internship so far?

Organizational skills at the top, I learned really quick I was going to have a detailed and organized calendar as well as storage of documents. I have also further improved my communication skills just by getting more repetition of talking one-on-one with homeowners.

What are you looking forward to the most?

I can’t wait for all the snow to melt in Wausau after we got 30+ inches opening weekend. It was tough to try to persuade people to look past the large amount of snow and into spring and summer. 

Anything else you'd like to share?

I’m excited for the opportunity to gain lots of experience running this operation as well as make my local community’s property fresh and clean!
