July Employee of the Month: Noah Kikkert
Noah Kikkert is a sophomore at UW-Milwaukee studying Film and Communication. He grew up in Beaver Dam, WI, and is looking forward to experiencing the rest of the world. He is known for founding the tenor/bass a cappella group Variation at UW-Milwaukee. Noah was the winner of June Madness, consistently beating his opponent in sales for a month straight.
Here is our brief interview with Noah about his experience at EcoWash so far:
What made you want to work at EcoWash?
Noah is a returning labor crew member turned division manager, wanting to learn more about the company and sales. EcoWash offers the unique opportunity to not only earn enough money to help support college students, but also teach valuable marketing, selling, and relationship skills.
What have you enjoyed the most from your internship so far?
One of the best parts of my internship has been the mentorship I've gotten from both CEO Andrew Pfaff and my Regional Manager, Oliver Shier. They've both taken the time to coach me directly, whether that's walking through a tough situation with me or just answering questions as they come up. Having leadership that invested in my growth from day one has made a huge difference in how quickly I've been able to learn the ropes.
What skills have you learned from your internship so far?
I've really sharpened my ability to handle customer objections and turn hesitant conversations into positive outcomes. Beyond that, I've learned how to build genuine relationships with customers — listening to what they actually need and following through on it. Those relationship-building skills have been some of the most valuable takeaways from this internship so far.
What are you looking forward to the most?
I'm looking forward to continuing to grow with the team and taking on more responsibility as the internship progresses and, of course, seeing that paycheck doesn't hurt either!
