All about Waukesha, Wisconsin

Close to Milwaukee and about an hour drive from Madison lies the sweet city of Waukesha, Wisconsin. Its population is about 70,000 people. 


Being close to those popular cities gives opportunities for lots to do, however there are also many great things about the city of Waukesha. Waukesha holds suburbs such as Brookfield, New Berlin, and Elm Grove.   


A fun fact about Waukesha is that it was originally called Prairieville. Waukesha earned its official and current name in 1847. 


The Fox River is popular amongst many cities in Wisconsin, including Waukesha! The Waukesha River Walk is a great spot to enjoy some good company, take photos, laugh, swim, and relax. Fox River Park is a great spot for kayaking, fishing, and other outdoor activities. 


Similar energy can be found at Frame Park. Frame Park holds many beautiful flowers, paths, gardens, and views.

During the summer, the city hosts many local activities such as Friday Night Live, Tribute Tuesday concerts, Riverside Rhythms, or Jazz at Cutler Park.


The Retzer Nature Center is another great spot to star gaze, hike, and enjoy the outdoor space of Waukesha.
